Amarillo Crime Stoppers - Crime of the Week - Unsolved Murder of Jarvaurian Penns
Amarillo Crime Stoppers is still asking for the public's help in a homicide investigation from March 2023. The supplemental reward on this case has expired but the case remains open.
On Sunday, March 26, 2023, at 4:45am, APD officers were called on 3 gunshot victims who had been dropped off by private vehicle at a local hospital. Jarvaurian Penns, male, age 21, was pronounced deceased. Two female victims, ages 17 and 18, had non-life-threatening injuries. Investigators found that the incident had taken place near Amarillo Blvd. and N. McMasters St. All other information on this crime is limited. Amarillo Crime Stoppers needs your help locating a black 2019 Hyundai Elantra for this week's "Stolen Auto Day". This vehicle was reported stolen from the 1000 block of S. Carolina on Friday October 18th. The vehicle should display Texas license, STH-6173, and the last six of the VIN are 840665. If you know the location of this vehicle or know who stole it, call Amarillo Crime Stoppers at 806-374-4400.
