On Tuesday, January 20, at approximately 7:30 p.m., Amarillo Police Department officers were dispatched to a reported theft in progress at the Toot’n Totum convenience store located at 1701 S. Eastern Street. Officers were advised that two unknown male suspects entered the store and went to the beer section. Both suspects then walked toward the exit with beer in hand, where they were confronted by a store employee. During the confrontation, one suspect—described as wearing a red hoodie—lifted his shirt and displayed a pistol in his waistband. Both suspects then fled the store and were unable to be located.
