The Amarillo Police Department is requesting the public’s assistance in identifying suspects involved in a shooting that occurred on March 14, 2026. At 11:13 p.m., officers responded to the area of 6700 Blissful Ln. in reference to shots fired. Occupants of a vehicle encountered several individuals believed to be attempting vehicle burglaries near NE 20th Ave and Iris St. When the victims confronted one of the individuals and stated they were contacting police, an unknown suspect fired multiple rounds at their vehicle from the west side of the location. The vehicle was struck several times. Fortunately, no injuries were reported. Suspect descriptions are limited at this time. Witnesses reported seeing three individuals in the area:

• One white or Hispanic male wearing a white shirt and camouflage shorts
• Two additional white or Hispanic males, possibly in their teens or early 20s, wearing all black clothing

The suspects were last seen in the area of NE 20th Ave and Iris St. Investigators are asking anyone with information, surveillance footage, or who may have witnessed suspicious activity in the area around the time of the incident to contact the Amarillo Police Department at 806-378-3038. If you wish to remain anonymous call Amarillo Crime Stoppers at 806-374-4400.  If your anonymous tip leads to an arrest you could earn a reward up to $1,000.

Amarillo Crime Stoppers needs your help locating a white 2016 Chevrolet Silverado for this week's "Stolen Auto Day". This vehicle was reported stolen from the 700 block of Brandes St. on Friday, April 10th.  The vehicle should display Texas tag VWL-2028 and the last six of the VIN are 239082.  If you know the location of this vehicle or know who stole it, call Amarillo Crime Stoppers at 806-374-4400. You can also submit your anonymous tip at amapolice.org by using the P3 tips app. If your tip leads to the recovery and/or the arrest of the suspect you could earn a reward of up to $1,000.
